Benoît Moreau tends two tiny plots of 30- and 60-year-old vines at the southern end of this renowned vineyard. En Remilly is, of course, one of Saint-Aubin’s prestige terroirs, sitting as it does above the Côte de Beaune’s Grand Cru vineyards and producing one of the village’s finest and most sought-after wines. This a superb white Burgundy with lovely flesh, lots of stone fruit and spice and a long, intense, mineral finish. A joy to behold. If only we had more wine to offer!

Reviews

“Vertical, really deep, that’s clearly a beauty. Vibrant, fluid, complex, mineral, mouth-filling great st aubin – bravo!”
Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report
“The 2022 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru comes from two south-facing parcels and has an Alpine-fresh bouquet with Granny Smith and light petrichor scents. Vibrant and focused. The palate is very harmonious and fresh, with a perfect line of acidity and a tensile and long finish. As good a En Remilly as you will find.”
92-94 points, Neal Martin, Vinous
“On the steep part of the slope, using 30 and 50 year old vines. A little more colour with a very intense bouquet of fresh yellow fruit, punches on through with the right amount of oak. A long finish on both ripe citrus and concentrated apples. Drink from 2026-2031. Tasted: November 2023.”
91-93 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
