Les Grands Charrons sits grouped with a few other superb Meursault lieux-dits, Le Tesson, Les Rougeots, and Les Chevalières, and also the nearby Les Gouttes d’Or vineyard, made famous by Lafon. Dancer has a small 0.29-hectare parcel here which was planted in 1958. The vine age and the low yields show in the wine’s intensity. This is a vineyard that always produces a firmer, more restrained and mineral style of Meursault. The ’21 is deep and rich yet super mineral.
