This is 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay from 40-year-old vines in Ambonnay. As always it spends its first year in barrel and receives a very low dosage of 4g/l. This is far more ‘ready’ than the 2008. It is a more seductive yet also powerful wine which is in a wonderful place right now. The class and finesse is extraordinary for a wine of this depth.
