Arnoux-Lachaux Nuits-Saint-Georges 2021

This comes from 1.42 hectares of low-yielding vines spread across seven parcels in the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges, starting just beyond the town and approaching the boundary with Vosne-Romanée. The vineyards are of similar size, and five of the plots are over 40 years old. From south to north, the lieux-dits are Les Brulées, Aux Tuyaux, Aux Saint-Jacques, Aux Lavières and Au Bas de Combe on the Vosne border. Again, we see the delicacy that Charles Lachaux is chasing, and it is even more striking in an appellation like Nuits! This is so fine and pretty and loaded with boysenberry, lilac, lavender and freshly-cut strawberry notes. Incredibly delicate and pure for the appellation.
