Voyager Estate has some of the oldest Chenin Blanc vines in Margaret River, with some of the vines planted as far back as 1978. The vineyard soils are mostly gravelly loams with a stony clay subsoil. With excellent drainage and good moisture-holding capacity, they produce fruit with exceptional balance.
Chilled to 15 degrees, the fermentation was predominantly in stainless steel to retain varietal aromatics. After fermentation the wine was left on lees for six weeks with regular bâtonnage. 2021 was fine vintage at this address, and this perennial bargain is again hitting highs with its intensity and complexity. It's clean and lively with vibrant tropical fruits and citrus, that slip of sweetness and well-balanced natural acidity.
