Drawn from vines planted on Voyager’s gravelly loam soils, the Sauvignon (61%) brings fresh, crunchy drive with tropical aromas and flavours, while the Semillon (39%)—sourced from the North Block 10 vineyard planted in 1995—contributes pithy lemon notes, palate weight and structure. All the vines are hand-pruned, shoot-thinned and yields are regulated to ensure consistency from season to season. 2020 was a terrific vintage in the Margaret River, with the whites displaying pristine fruit with freshness and bright varietal expression. A small component of barrel-fermented Semillon and some lees contact brings additional complexity and texture to the palate, but the finish has that clean, snappy close expected of this style.
