Biodynamic in conversion. Weinbach’s first skin contact release, the 2019 Macération Furstentum Zero Input, sold out in a heartbeat. The second is drawn from a parcel of vines in Vogelgarten (the birds garden) located between the Grand Crus of Furstentum and Mambourg. Hence, MVØ. This cuvée is a blend of 70% Gewürztraminer and 30% Pinot Gris from steep, east-facing marl and limestone. It was given a three-week skin contact fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by eight months aging on gross lees in stainless steel tank. There were no added sulphites at any stage.
