Tatjana Peceric's ‘Priorat’ is a reimagining of Terroir al Limit’s wonderful Clarete, Roc d’Aubaga. Once an old-fashioned style of winemaking, Spain's ruby-coloured Clarete wines are experiencing a resurgence as more winemakers in Spain realise that these can be serious and age-worthy while also being immensely pleasurable in their youth. Which is certainly the case with this wine. The first release is a blend of 75% Garnacha Negra with 25% Garnacha Blanca, sourced from old vines in Poboleda, that spends five days on the skins before pressing and aging in concrete eggs. It’s a delicious and engaging wine that combines the qualities of a lighter-bodied red with the charm of a top-quality rosé and the elegance and refinement of a fine white wine.
