Base 2017. Disgorged February 2024. Sous le Mont is 100% Pinot Noir from a single vineyard in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ on the Mont du Gruguet. Acquired in 2003, the site faces east and is positioned in the middle of the slope. For interest, the south face of the hill is home to the revered Clos des Goisses. The unique, chalky soil is rich in magnesium and, according to Selosse: “The presence of magnesium confers a bitterness such as is present in Hépar water. This is not the most powerful wine but expresses the serenity of the eastern exposure.”
