Like many great white producers, Germain also makes fabulous reds these days. We don’t always get an offer of this wine, and, as with the corresponding white, it comes from tiny holdings. Specifically, it is from two micro parcels in Au Jardin (the garden-like clos behind Germain’s cellar) and the evocatively named Moulin à Judas (under Les Chevalières). It’s a beautiful Bourgogne Rouge, chiselled and red-fruited.
