In March 2021, the domaine purchased a small parcel of 1976 vines in this Savigny 1er Cru. The vines had yet to be pruned, and Germain’s late pruning spared this vineyard from the frost. Named after the vineyard’s light, sandy-gravelly soil, Aux Gravins lies under the Combe d’Orange between Les Lavières and Aux Serpentières. The light limestone soils give plenty of perfumed, floral lift and silken, mouthcoating tannins. A superb beginning for this new cuvée.
