Windows Estate Petit Lot Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2023

This wine is a more layered and complex take on Margaret River’s classic white blend. Semillon represents the lion’s share of the blend at 68%, with the balance comprising Sauvignon Blanc (30%) and a touch of Chardonnay. The Semillon―from the Windows Estate main vineyard, planted on an ironstone/laterite ridge―is picked when the canopy is still full and the fruit has plenty of natural acidity. The Sauvignon Blanc is from soils with a higher clay/quartz profile, giving fruit with fresh, zesty flavours and a distinct mineral line. The Chardonnay brings depth and even more texture. After fermentation, each batch matures in French barriques for 11 months, providing texture and complexity without sacrificing freshness.
