Diam. The Bourgogne du Jardin is a blend of old vine Aligoté Doré from vines near Pommard and a second, 90-year-old parcel in Corgoloin. Thiriet refers to this latter parcel as ‘my garden’. The yields from these ancient vines in 2021 were a measly 15 hl/ha. The fruit from both sites was pressed together using a vertical press and raised in old oak (10% new) for nine months. The notes below say it all. A zeitgeist Aligoté, rich in aromas and flavours of lemon curd and talcum, yet pithy and vibrantly fresh. It has a lovely texture for the variety as well as terrific length and character.
