Bottled in 2016. 42% abv. This Brandy de Jerez is from a selection of the finest spirits or ‘holandas’ that Equipo Navazos unearthed in a bodega in Jerez. The spirit was double-distilled in the French style to 72% alc. Almost 20-years-old, it spent the first 12 years in new Limousin oak butts and the remaining time in former Oloroso butts. One of the butts was then selected and bottled by hand in its entirety. Only 800 bottles were filled.
Non-chill-filtered, it has—like all other bottlings from Equipo Navazos—no added aromatics, sweeteners or colourants. It’s super-fine Brandy of tremendous finesse and style: expect notes of apricot, candied orange and vanilla bean and a perfectly integrated spirit of the highest order. Sheer class.
